You are perfect because of ONE offering

Hebrews 10:14 - "For by one offering He has perfected forever them that are sanctified."

Wow. If you've accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior does God view you as perfect? Yes. And for how long? Forever.

Re-read that and let it sink in.

Now the Bible says you are sanctified (past tense). I used to preach that "Yes, you've been justified, but now you have to be sanctified." In other words, you were saved by grace; now you have to do things to maintain your salvation, or at least keep your holiness. This usually meant spending a certain amount of time per day with God or not watching bad movies.

"Well Aaron, doesn't the Bible say without holiness no one can see the Lord?" Yes, so praise God that Jesus made me holy, and I am staying holy because Jesus is seated at the Father's right hand.

So am I sanctified right now? Or is it a process? Again, I used to think it was a process.

But let's look at 2 Corinthians 6:9:

"Know you not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but you ARE washed, but you ARE sanctified, but you ARE justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God."

Because of one offering, one sacrifice, we have been made perfect forever. Don't ever let the devil lie to you!

  1. you have been lied to by the devil for centuries.btw, any man who sits at the pinnacle of the temple is the devil((organize religion). hence,he is not able to understand the mystery of god or the word.
    the kind of doctrine you regurgitated has left trails of carnages behind(last two millennium) and still do. don't be deceived by its holy front. there is nothing holy about that kind of doctrine which, not only irrational but "truths" that you cannot substantiate.

    Your discouragement and anonymity is by no way an encouragement or revelation of His love, nor does it present your angle.

    Ironic that the trails of carnages left behind were people who took the liberty of God's grace and decided it was their duty to eradicate according to His "mercy."

    Maybe you should read the Church's history.

  3. I understand what you are saying but I do not believe you have to do anything exsept repent, believe, and have faith. If you are trully saved you should be taking up your cross and following in his ways. I dont think you can lose your salvation, you simply have never been saved in the first place.

  6. The new testament teaches that believers are sanctified, it also teaches that believers should be sanctified "completely" ( 1 Thess 5:23). When it dawns on us that we have been sanctified, it will cause us to live a sanctified life.
